My America: The War On Terror

In My America, September 11, 2001 would never be forgotten, forsaken, or diminished. We would hold that day as the reason for standing firm and strong in our resolve to do what is right. President Bush started out doing the right thing: going into Afghanistan and Iraq. He found what he said he would find, no matter how much that is lied about (search the internet and read the truth, not just the convenient), proved that we had reason and then started backing down after the heat got so high that his glasses melted. I wish that he had stayed the course and not gone wishy-washy on this because our children may pay the price. In My America, he would have stayed strong and our next leader would be strong and would make sure our troops are supported fully, no matter what the idiot, spineless, wimpy-kneed legislators and press are doing, saying and lying about.

In My America, the phrase, “Occupied Territory” would not be a bad thing as long as it helped protect America and the rest of the world (as in: If America as a nation is not safe, then who can be?). We would bring that phrase back and put it into effect in the Middle East (Afghanistan and Iraq) with full “occupation” as we did in Japan after WWII. That is, after we carpet bombed with MOABs so that we could get rid of the varmints hiding in the scruffy mountains and spider holes of the area. Of course, we would warn the civilians first and set-up established pass points through which those wishing to live could pass. Anyone leaving through areas not set-up as pass points would be extinguished for due cause. Carpet bombing with MOABs would commence after the area was cleared.

We would then establish a government similar to ours (except with many, many more strong conservatives than ours currently has), do away with all other laws except those similar to the US Constitution’s and for the next one-hundred years, we would teach the next few generations what it feels like to live under a different form of government in which girls get educated the same as boys do, women are not treated as things and fear doesn’t run your life. Let them learn how to make their own businesses grow and prosper, raise a family under whatever religion they wish to raise them, people are free to talk and disagree with the government and their religious leaders and ideas are not bad if they do not kiss the local powerful’s backside. Maybe then, if they’re ready for it, release them. The test would be what kind of support the candidates for public office would receive if they ran under a peaceful, non-violent, pro-American platform. If that sort of candidate won, then the release plans would be set in order for “occupied” to be phased out over the next ten years. If that sort of candidate could not be elected, then the “occupied” status would continue because they haven’t learned to release that hatred yet and have been teaching it to their children.

We would present the “occupied territory” as a strong weapon against terrorism with a full compliment of well-guarded military weapons – especially MOABs – so that we could have the tools necessary and handy for whatever the enemy may wish to throw at us. If someone wanted to start something, My America would throw it right back at them one-hundred fold. MOABs would rain down on any country that decided to set America’s plans back by supporting terrorists in any way, shape or form (including financially). MOABs would be ready to strike targets identified as hiding places for terrorist cells, day, night, rain, shine, cold, hot. Strength would be the by-word of every day and terrorists would have no place to hide.

In My America, Senators and Congressmen who don’t support a strong, defensive America with their votes and their voices would be booted out of office and into the hoosegow for being traitors to the greatest country on earth. The American public would want their elected officials to stand up for their constituents, make strong laws that would help keep them and their children safe, and to never, ever, vote for, give voice to, or give money to ideas, causes, or legislation that would, in it’s full implementation (which includes unintended consequences), cause our children or grandchildren to be more in harm’s way than they would be if the legislation didn’t pass, were written differently, etc.

In My America, if a terrorist on our soil was trying to harm others, the American people would step in and help put the terrorist behind bars, do something to stop him and not fear being put in jail themselves. The terrorist trying to do the wrong would be the one going to jail, not the person trying to stop that wrong.

In My America, we would be careful of who we let into our country. We would guard our borders jealously, our ports would be things of integrity and security and we would be careful to fully train our screening agents (immigration clerks in airports, etc.) and implement that training to weed out those who may be coming in to do our country harm. It was one aware and brave screener who stopped the twentieth hijacker on 9/11; let’s clone that person and give those screeners more authority and bite to be able to protect us better, not take that authority away or limit it.

In My America, our President would stand strong and firm in his resolve to be the leader of a free country not dictated to by terrorists (as France willingly is/was/and shall be). Our President would be the first one to stand strong and tall against those who would wish us to kowtow to a bunch of thugs who hate us. In My America, the President would be like Ronald Reagan in that he thought of America as “that shining beacon on a hill” and she was/is the best country on earth. My America would support a candidate for President every time who echoed Ronald Reagan in practice and heart-felt conviction.

In My America, the cowardice that we currently see demonstrated in the “Claim Defeat First” Liberal Left would not be tolerated and we would have a strong Senate and Congress of people proud to be Americans instead of apologizing for America. In My America, our people would be safe because the legislators would be Americans first and foremost with their relationship with God being the only thing more important. In My America, people would realize that if they betray their country they betray everyone in it: strangers and family alike. In My America those who are sworn in as someone representing a constituency would never even think of betraying that constituency by flying over to a foreign country and apologizing for America as the traitorous, cowardly, former beauty contestant (notice that’s not “brains contestant”), Nancy Pelosi, did. In My America, that person would wind up in jail with those who wished to put America under the rule of terror because she was supporting the terrorists and not her country, nor her constituents.

In My America the feel of the whole land would be, “America, love it or leave it.” No questions asked, no excuses accepted. America is the best country on earth. America is the “beautiful” the “land of the free and the brave” (with the exception of liberals), she is blessed by God and I would have her no other way.

Look for the next posting coming soon.

Until then, keep trying, keep our brave Troops in your prayers, and remember that God loves you even if He doesn’t love your actions. As He does moi.
